The initial story had the origin date as 1993, but it was making the rounds long before that.

For quite some time, there have been problems getting ''Fortean Times'' in a timely manner in the US. This is why I like having a digital option for a backup. I have recorded some of the dates I received my copies of ''FT'' for posterity. There was a serious issue with shipping in 2009-10, and for awhile I was recording when every issue arrived.
